The plenum of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities has elected Thomas F. Fässler, o. Professor of Inorganic Chemistry with a focus on New Materials, TU Munich as a new scientist member.
Admission to the Bavarian Academy of Sciences is one of the highest scientific honors in Bavaria. To be admitted, members must have contributed through their research to a "substantial increase in the body of knowledge" of their subject, according to the statutes. Self-application is not possible.
