Research Topic: Atomic layer deposition (ALD) in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) – AIM
My work focuses on the implementation of AIM processes for the discontinuous growth of atom-precise, catalytically active nanoparticles (NP) within suitable MOFs. The self-limiting nature of ALD, leading to a precise control of the growth rate, in combination with the control over the MOFs fundamental elemental parameters results in an outstanding total synthetic control. Furthermore studies to gain insights into the mechanism, the structure and the function of the resulting species are conducted.
