PhD Theses
If you are looking for a PhD position related to one of our current projects, please don't hesitate to contact us. A detailed research program will be fixed according to your research interest and experience and according to the progress we make in our projects. We want you to learn in our group the entire range of scientific work, from instrument development, data acquisition to the critical interpretation of results and finally to their presentation in publications and on conferences. You will as well learn how to teach students in exercises and laboratory courses. Furthermore, in order to train your soft skills you will be part of the TUM Graduate School (Fakultätsgraduiertenzentrum Chemie).
Besides our internal funding possibilities, we encourage you, for your distinction, to apply for external funding:
- German applicants should consider the fellowships of the Elitenetzwerk Bayern, Fonds der Chemischen Industrie or Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. An overview over all organizations for the promotion of young talent (Begabtenförderungswerke) that are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research can be found here
- Foreigners should consider a DAAD fellowship (General Information, Application)
Please contact us concerning the documents you need for submitting your application.
If you are interested to work with us, please send your application (including CV, publication list, list of presentations, etc.) to Ueli Heiz or contact us for further informations.
