Research Topic: Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) of Surface-mounted Porphyrin Metal-Organic Frameworks (PP-SURMOFs) via Coordination Modulation (CM) strategy
Zhenyu Zhou's PhD research mainly focuses on the fabrication of Porphyrin-based MOFs (PP-MOFs) as thin film by CM-LPE method for some particular applications (e.g. Photovoltaics and Photocatalysts). LPE technique is well suited to grow highly oriented, monolithic, thickness-controllable MOF films, referred to as surface-mounted MOFs (SURMOFs). CM strategy is effective for the control on the attachment/detachment equilibrium during MOF film fabrication by LPE method. PP-SURMOFs prepared by CM-LPE method contain well regular porphyrin centers, which contributes to its applications.
