Cover page and cover profile in ChemPhysChem: Slicing diamond for direct band gap semiconductors


Silicon adapts in the predominant α modification the cubic diamond structure that significantly limits solar cells efficiency. A surprisingly simple way allows for rebuilding new three-dimensional structures of tetrel elements.
